Diabetes T2 and big pink icing apple buns.

Hi everyone, Jan here again.

You can't fool diabetes t2. I remember one day boy! did I feel like a pink icing apple bun, and a really big one. I thought I was ok as I gave the pink icing to my friend. It didn't take too long before I felt like a slug - I felt so sick and I was scared of what was happening to me. It took 2 days to get over that episode because I was still learning how to manage my diabetes! Since then I admire those buns from a distance! Don't be afraid to say no when friends ask you for coffee and always have something sweet to go with it - it's ok to say "I'm managing diabetes, thank you for your kindness but I'll be happy with just a coffee today". People are beginning to understand a whole lot more about diabetes these days.

And of course, you can have that bun, just watch those glucose levels afterwards.

(And here's a recipe for sugar free icing!)
